Lucy is a very sweet rabbit who sometimes shows her diva side. Lucy loves to eat spring mix salads. If you offer her romaine, she will turn up her nose for a while before finally conceding to eating it. She gets very excited when salads, fruits or fresh veggies enter her cage. She scared me the first few times at how fast she will run at you when she sees it coming but always eats very gently from your hand.

To keep busy, Lucy has taken to shredding cardboard boxes that I have given her. She loves to chew on the fresh wood pieces from the pet store as well.

She is still getting used to being held on my lap, but loves to hop around on the floor, couch or bed and get hand fed (last night, she licked the grape juice off my fingers from the grapes I had just fed her). She loves to explore and is so cute when she stands up on her hind legs to examine what is going on around her. She gets along well with cats (she will hop right up to them) and does well when children are around.

One note of caution: if you are in her way and she doesn’t want to go around you, she will nip you to move out of her way. That is the prima donna in her, she is the boss!
