Board Items

Discussed the HRN Articles of Incorporation Restatement, how the Board should be formed/comprised as well as members of HRN. The following questions were raised and discussed as to: What are the qualifications to be on the HRN Board; Who can sit on the Board.

Sadie volunteered to research how other non-profit Boards are formed.

A vote was taken regarding the changes proposed from the HRN Articles of Incorporation, all voted in favor of the change. The vote passed.

Education Events

Diane is always looking for help with education events. We get more requests than we can fill. Woburn, North Andover, Dover NH are 3 locations that we are considering education events.

Bunny Sitting

This is a large fundraiser for us, often bringing in a few thousand dollars each year.

Easy for volunteers to do, we ask for $10/day for a single bun and $13 for a bonded pair.

Jenny voiced she was interested in a cage for this- Janelle and Suzanne are working on providing her one asap.

Customer Service

A reminder was made that we ideally want to respond to adopters/Shelters and other potential volunteers within 24 hours.

Volunteers and Donations

Janelle has posted onto Craig’s List, Volunteer Match, Freecycle and looking into other places to find volunteers and donations.

We are looking for volunteers to work on PetFinder, Petango, Pintrest, post Flyers at vet offices, Whole Foods, Community Bulletin boards etc.

We are also looking for volunteers to contact their local newspapers in order to get the word out regarding the Easter Campaign against buying bunnies from Pet Stores, Breeders etc. and adopt instead.

Last update from the Hotline was all is going well and that they could use more volunteers. Janelle made a note to start suggesting that more often in the posts for volunteers.

A suggestion was made to start working on a Bunny Basics presentation (caring etc. for the public).

Foster Homes

Sarah is trying and working hard on making sure all the foster homes understand and work within the New Foster Home Process.

Sarah would like to create an online tutorial for foster homes to aid in this process, would be ideal if it could be video taped.

Shelter

Address: working on concealing the address as much as possible. The address is findable through the shelter phone number since we do not pay Comcast the money to hide both. We have not received any dumps or had any security concerns.

Visits are still by invitation/appointment only. The volunteers that have the door code is being tracked and we ask that volunteers do not share the code.
